We asked ChatGPT 12 questions that trade buyers in Canada ask before placing an order for electrical distribution equipment — who supplies it, where to buy it, which one to choose — and recorded which companies it named. We ran the same questions 5 times and ranked by the average across runs.

Companies are listed only where they were named in at least two consecutive runs. Single readings move: re-running an identical question set an hour later changed three verdicts in twelve. This table is a measurement of what one assistant said on one date, not a ranking of quality, size or service — and not every company it named is Canadian, which is itself worth knowing if you are.

That is the ordinary case, not a verdict. Most suppliers in most categories are not named, including well-run ones with strong websites — absence here is the base rate.
